Multimedia Web Communicator (Mobile Multimedia - eLearning)

This ambitious and innovative project consists in integrating Messaging, Presence and High-Definition VoIP into the web environment of the corporate users of the Technical University of Catalonia. The project will deliver real-time communications to a community of 4.500 corporate users spread through eight different cities in Spain.

Users will be able to access corporate communications from an easy-to-use environment integrated with their web portal. By easing the internal communication process, the University will benefit from increased productivity and reduced off-net communication costs. The Communicator also allows for communication to external networks such as the PSTN, GSM, text messaging and Instant Messaging such as Yahoo®, Skype® or MSN®

	Medical Communities IMS Communicator (mHealth)
The project consisted in developing a set of applications (including PC and mobile) to ease communications among medical communities, both between patients and doctors, and among medical personnel. The application uses a "Medical Presence" feature to ease the delivery of the most tailored attention to patients and to improve internal medical protocols.

Mobile BioRouter and Medical Dispatch (mHealth)

Development of a "Bio-Router" application running in a mobile device. The app would capture data from a network of health sensors via ZigBee® and serve it to Genaker's Health Dispatcher application. The Dispatcher would allow medical personnel to monitor sensed data and trigger alarms based on a set of pre-defined thresholds, in order to allow fast reaction to changes in patient's vital constants.

The aim of the application is to increase patients' confort while at the same time keeping or increasing patient's security at home, minimising the need of visiting medical premises.

	Mobile Communicator for Corporates (Mobile Multimedia)
The project consisted in implementing a mobile client with corporate Messaging and Presence features, as well as file sharing and concurrent access to corporate documents and multimedia content. The goal of the project is to allow mobile operators offer corporate productivity applications for large customers (e.g.: banks, insurance companies, multi-national corporations, …).

	Banking Antifraud Platform (mBanking)
Two years long research project for investigating and implementing proof of concepts to enforce authentication using the mobile phone (digital signature, biometric voice call, use of SIM cards). Analysis on how to protect mobile banking transactions and reduce frauds.

	Jivebug (Social Networks)
Development of a J2ME / Facebook application that locates nearby Facebook friends and start chatting with them.

Facebook Mobile Audio Blog (Social Networks - Location - Web 2.0)

Adaptable Facebook Application to log audio-posts with Speech recognition of specific keywords, for many uses: Automaticly classified Personal To-Do List, voice ordering & comments, voice repair report , etc. An outstanding extension is the Traffic Alerts Audio Logs, a Realtime collection of driver-feeded traffic incidences automatically placed on GoogleMaps and easily checkable by other drivers.

	Android Mobile TV (Mobile TV - Social Networks)
Technological feasibility and commercial Android version of a Mobile TV with automatic tuning of Internet TVs with quality monitoring and social networking exchange of recommendation and ranking.
