Genaker announces an agreement with Telefonica  to supply its leading PoC Dispatching technology for the "Pulsa y  Habla" service in Spain.

Genaker, the leading provider of Push-to-Talk over Cellular (PoC) Value Added Services, and Telefonica have reached a commercial agreement to supply Genaker's PoC Dispatching technology to Telefonica's PyH ("Pulsa y Habla", Push-and-Talk)  service, launched on October 4th, 2007.

Telefonica and Genaker have worked together within the last year to define the most advanced and user-friendly PoC Dispatcher concept in the market. Based on Genaker's existing PoC and Dispatch technology, Telefonica's "Terminal de Despacho PyH" provides superior value to corporate and professional end users in fields such as fleet management, security, logistics, transportation, infrastructure management and it is a key differentiator in Telefonica's “Pulsa y Habla” service.

The PoC Dispatcher position is a PC-based application that lets the end user communicate, manage and coordinate the fleet of users equiped with PoC-enabled handsets. The Dispatcher offers advanced functions such as creation and management of PoC groups (to facilitate group communications among PoC users), a Presence-enhanced contact list, the ability to record PoC conversations, text messaging features or easy access to events such as missed calls or pending tasks management.

The PoC Dispatcher is based on Nokia PoC technology and has a future-proof evolution path towards OMA PoC 1.0 and upcoming releases. OMA PoC 1.0 is already supported in Genaker own products such as genaker4003 and genaker2080 PoC PC Clients. Besides, Genaker and Telefonica are working together to further develop the Dispatcher concept into new areas, with the aim of facilitating group and individual communications among and across team members and professionals in general.
